Profile, Handle, and Avatar
Your profile is how connections recognize you on Pokes. Your public @handle appears in search, connection cards, poke targets, and on your profile page at /{handle}.
Manage everything from Settings (/settings).
Profile card
The profile section shows:
- Avatar: upload a photo (JPEG, PNG, or WebP) or remove it. Fansly-linked accounts may show a Fansly avatar when upload is unavailable.
- Plan badge: FREE, PREMIUM, or VIP.
- Role badge: Creator or Viewer.
- Handle: your public
@handle(editable inline). - Streak and total pokes sent.
Change your @handle
- Open Settings (
/settings). - Click the pencil icon next to Handle.
- Enter a new handle (up to 30 characters) and save.
Your profile URL updates to /{new-handle}. Old links may break if someone bookmarked the previous URL.
Switch Creator ↔ Viewer
Viewers see Switch to Creator under the avatar. Creator accounts unlock streaming tools (overlays, pokesBot, commands). Switching does not change your subscription tier.
Creators who want a viewer-only experience can contact support; the app primarily supports Viewer → Creator switching in Settings.
Email and password
Use the icons in the top-right of the profile card:
- Email: add or change your verified email (6-digit code flow).
- Password: set or change your Pokes login password.
A verified email is required for billing and account recovery.
Privacy settings

What you need
- A signed-in Pokes account with completed onboarding (for handle changes and search visibility).
- A verified email for billing-related profile updates.
How to test
- Open
/{your-handle}in a private window and confirm avatar, badges, and stats look correct. - Search for your handle on Connections from a second account (unless Hide me from handle search is on).
- Toggle Appear hidden and confirm a connection sees the updated online status.
Troubleshooting

| Upload button missing | Finish account setup; some Fansly-only accounts use platform avatars until upload is enabled |
