OSC and VRChat
OSC (/osc) sends UDP messages to VRChat (or other OSC listeners) when tips match your automation. Use it to toggle avatar parameters, outfits, or world states on tip.
Creator + Premium + paired pokesBot required for tip automation. On your streaming PC, run pokesBridge so OSC can reach localhost or your LAN target.
Setup
- Open
/oscin the Pokes dashboard (or edit Tips / Host / Port in pokesBridge; Save syncs back to/osc). - Enter your OSC target (IP/port VRChat listens on).
- Define parameter names and values per tip rule or command integration.
- Keep pokesBridge connected with OSC enabled while you stream.
- Test with Test Tips while VRChat is running with OSC enabled.
VRChat notes
- Enable OSC in VRChat action menu or avatar config as appropriate for your setup.
- Use local network IP when Pokes runs on the same PC as VRChat.
- Firewall must allow UDP to your configured port.
Tips
- Start with one simple parameter toggle before complex multi-parameter maps.
- Pair with Alerts so stream and avatar both react.
Troubleshooting
No OSC received? Verify IP/port, VRChat OSC enabled, tip rule actually fired, and pokesBridge shows Connected to Pokes with OSC on. Test UDP with a minimal tip test before going live.
