08.11.26 | pokesApi and connection updates

This update introduces a preview of pokesApi for eligible creators, makes your pokesBridge connection easier to monitor, and fixes an issue that could incorrectly show toys as disconnected.

What's new in pokesBridge v1.1.0-beta

  • Connect external apps with pokesApi: Premium and VIP creators can use the new API tab in pokesBridge to create API keys and connect compatible external apps that send events to Pokes.
  • Test real Pokes events: Fire sample Pokes and alerts, or choose one of your enabled Tip Rules, to see how an external app can trigger it.
  • Ready-to-use request examples: After a test, pokesBridge shows the endpoint, authorization and idempotency headers, request payload, and response so you can copy the information into your app.
  • Manage API access safely: Name, copy, renew, or revoke API keys from pokesBridge. New keys are only shown once, so save them somewhere secure.
  • Review recent tests: Successful events from your current session appear in Recent activity and can be opened or copied again.

Frontend and toy connection updates

  • pokesBridge connected status: The Pokes dashboard now shows when pokesBridge is open and connected. The green indicator gently pulses whenever Pokes confirms that the connection is still active.
  • More reliable toy status: Fixed an intermittent issue that could make a toy appear disconnected when Pokes checked for pokesBridge on accounts that were not using it. Cloud-connected toys and toys connected through pokesBridge now follow the correct connection path.

The pokesApi preview is currently available to Premium and VIP creators. Keep pokesBridge open and connected while using an external app or a toy connected through Bridge.
