Limits and Safety
Pokes gives creators fine-grained control over who can trigger toys and how strongly. Viewers should respect daily limits, cooldowns, and session rules. Everyone can stop toys immediately from the Toys page.
Daily poke limits
- Your plan sets a base daily poke allowance (shown as left on
/pokes). - Free viewers typically get a small daily budget (for example 3 pokes/day across connections).
- Premium raises or removes practical caps for most users.
- Creators assign roles on
/connectionswith per-tier daily poke budgets (Premium).
When left hits zero, wait for the daily reset before sending more pokes.
Intensity caps
| Plan | Max intensity on Pokes page |
|---|---|
| Free | 5 (Default) |
| Premium | 10, 15, 20 (Tease, Strong, MAX) |
Control-link sessions use separate caps set when the creator built the link: not their personal max intensity.
Connection permissions
Creators can:
- Toggle pokes allowed per connection
- Assign roles with daily limits (Premium)
- Block or remove connections
- Enable auto-accept or require manual approval
Viewers should not spam pokes when limits are reached: check the counter and ask about tier upgrades on the creator's platform if needed.
Control links and guest access
- Guest URLs (
/redeem/{token}) grant timed control: treat tokens like passwords. - Creators can revoke, end session, or let links expire.
- Pause (when enabled) lets redeemers resume before expiry.
- Queue holds you if someone else is controlling the same toy.
See Privacy and Private Links.
Emergency stop
This section describes an updated Toys page that hasn't been checked on the live app yet.
On Toys (/toys):
- The red Emergency stop in the toolbar stops every online toy at once. It also ends random mode and any holds, clears the queue, and shows a message like "Stopped 2 toys."
- Each toy card has its own Emergency stop if you only want to stop one toy.
- To remove toys from Pokes completely, open Device Tools and choose Disconnect all toys.
- Lovense Remote also has local stop buttons: use either if overwhelmed.
There is no substitute for your own comfort: lower role limits before going live if you expect heavy traffic.
Creator safety checklist
Before advertising toy control:
- Test self-poke and one connection poke at low intensity
- Set conservative role limits for public tiers
- Confirm pokesBot and tip rules match your comfort level
- Know how to stop toys from
/toysmid-stream - Rotate or revoke control links you no longer trust
What you need
- Awareness of your plan tier and role assignment
- Trusted connections for first live tests
How to test
- Exhaust a test role's daily limit and confirm Pokes blocks further pokes with a clear message.
- Trigger emergency stop during a vibe and confirm the toy stops within a second or two.
- End a control-link session early and confirm the redeemer loses control immediately.
Troubleshooting
- Unexpected pokes: remove the connection or disable pokes on their card.
- Limits feel wrong: check role assignment and Premium status on both sides.
- See Pokes Failing and Viewer Etiquette.
