Control Link Troubleshooting
Use this page when a control link will not redeem, a session will not start, or control stops unexpectedly.
Redeem button disabled / toys offline
Symptom: /redeem/{token} shows a notice that the creator has no toy online.
Fix (creator):
- Open Toys (
/toys) and connect Lovense via QR or pairing code. - Click Sync toys until at least one device shows online.
- Ask the redeemer to refresh: the page rechecks automatically.
Link expired or invalid
Symptom: Error state on redeem page.
Causes: Past expiry, revoked link, or wrong URL.
Fix: Creator issues a new link from /control-links. Check Show expired links to confirm status.
Stuck in queue
Symptom: Please wait screen with another controller's name.
Fix: Wait for their session to end, or ask the creator to End session from Active Control Link in the manager. The queue page auto-refreshes when you can start.
Session ends immediately
Causes: Duration elapsed, creator ended session, toy disconnected, or network drop.
Fix: Creator checks toy online status and Lovense Connect. Redeemer refreshes and try a new link if needed.
Cannot create links
Symptom: No + New Control Link button.
Fix: Upgrade to Premium. Viewers need Premium for outgoing links; creators need Premium for the full manager. See Why Is a Feature Locked?.
Pause not available
Symptom: No pause button during session.
Fix: Pause must be enabled when the link was created. Create a new link with pause allowed checked.
Wrong person redeemed
Fix: Revoke the link, end the active session, and share a new guest URL privately. Rotate tokens often for high-value rewards.
