What is pokesBridge
pokesBridge is the Pokes desktop app for creators. It stays signed in on your streaming PC and delivers OSC, toy, and external Bot actions to software running locally when a tip, command, or other automation fires in Pokes.
Download the installer from pokes.love/downloads. Keep Bridge running while you stream.
Problem this solves
Pokes runs its API in the cloud, while apps such as VRChat OSC, Lovense Connect, and LumiaStream run on your computer. Those local apps are not directly reachable from the cloud the same way using only your browser. pokesBridge securely receives your Pokes actions from the web and delivers them on your creator PC, so tips and commands can still control your local toys.
For the sign-in and socket flow in more detail, see How pokesBridge works.
What you need
- A Pokes account
- A Windows, macOS, or Linux desktop where the local software you want to control is running
- The production pokesBridge installer from Downloads
- Optional, depending on your setup: Lovense Connect or Intiface Central, VRChat with OSC enabled, and LumiaStream Pro
Some Pokes features may require the appropriate plan. Check the live app for current locks. See also Who can use pokesBridge.
How to use Bridge
- Download and install pokesBridge from pokes.love/downloads.
- Open Bridge on the computer where your toys, VRChat, or LumiaStream run, then sign in with your Pokes account.
- Open Status (or the Bridge tab) and confirm Bridge is Connected to Pokes. Check that the local targets you use show the expected connection mode.
- Enable the Features you need (OSC, Toys, PiShock, Bots).
- Keep Bridge running during your stream. It needs to stay online to deliver cloud-triggered actions to your computer.
Production installers are ready to connect to Pokes. You should not need to create or edit environment files.
Set up OSC for VRChat
- Open OSC and VRChat in Pokes, then enable OSC.
- Match the OSC host and port to the listener in VRChat or your other OSC software.
- In Bridge, confirm OSC is enabled and the host and port are correct.
- With VRChat running and OSC enabled, use Test in Bridge or Pokes to send a small test action.
If Bridge rejects a value, correct the OSC setting or action before trying again. Invalid values are not sent to your local target.
Connect toys
- Enable Toys in Bridge.
- Pair Lovense with Pokes as usual, or use Intiface with pokesBridge for Bluetooth toys.
- Confirm toys show online, then run a small Test a toy or Test Tips action.
- For incomplete battery or feature lists, see Lovense connection methods.
Xbox controllers (pokesBridge only)
Check an Xbox controller on pokesBridge 1.4.50-beta or newer: motor names, the pokesBridge label, and Lovense Remote pairing with the pad plugged in.
pokesBridge can run the rumble motors in an Xbox controller plugged into your PC. This is in beta and only works through pokesBridge, not the website alone.
- The controller shows up with the label
pokesBridge. - Its motors are named Both, Left and Right. Older versions used other names, but your existing rules keep working.
- You can keep Lovense Remote toys connected at the same time. They show up next to the controller.
Connect Lumia locally
Lumia has two Pokes paths:
| Path | Best for | Where to set up |
|---|---|---|
| Lumia plugin (cloud poll) | Tip and chat alerts | LumiaStream settings + plugin in Lumia |
| Developers API via Bridge | Tip variables, !command fires, command browser | Steps below + Developers API on LumiaStream settings |
Bridge connect (Developers API):
- In LumiaStream, enable Developers API and copy your API token (Settings → Advanced → Developers API).
- In Bridge, enable Bots, open the Bots area, and choose LumiaStream → Connect.
- Enter host (
127.0.0.1if Lumia is on this PC, or the Lumia PC LAN IP), port (39231by default), and paste the API token. - On LumiaStream settings, confirm Developers API shows Connected through pokesBridge.
- Enable Tip variables and/or Forward chat commands as needed. Use Commands → Fire for a test before going live.
Use the Lumia plugin for tip alerts and Developers API via Bridge for variables and commands. Full detail: LumiaStream with pokesBridge.
Do not paste API tokens, plugin tokens, or other secrets into support chats, screenshots, or public documentation.
Manage control links
- Open Ctrl Links in Bridge.
- Create a link or select an existing link to edit its details.
- Delete links you no longer want guests to use, or revoke a link if you need to stop access quickly.
- If you share a guest link, redeem it in a separate browser session to check the viewer experience.
For broader setup and guest guidance, see Create a control link and Redeem a control link.
Update Bridge
When Bridge shows an update:
- Click the in-app update prompt.
- Bridge closes and reopens with the new build.
- Check your Bridge inbox for notes on important or breaking updates.
If an update does not complete, download the latest installer again from pokes.love/downloads.
What Bridge delivers
| Feature | Role |
|---|---|
| OSC | Sends tip / test OSC to VRChat (or another OSC listener) using the host and port you set |
| Toys | Delivers toy commands through Lovense Connect or Intiface Central |
| PiShock | Uses PiShock linked on your Pokes account. Refresh devices, then target one or many shockers from tip rules, games, and control links when your plan allows |

| Ctrl Links | Create, edit, and delete control links from the desktop app |
| Quicklinks | Jump to Test Tips, Tip Rules, Tip Menu, Overlays, Commands, and Connections on pokes.love |

Useful settings
| Setting or area | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Status / Connected to Pokes | Confirm Bridge is online and local actions can deliver |
| Features | Turn OSC, Toys, PiShock, and Bots on or off |
| OSC host and port | Match the local OSC listener, such as VRChat |
| Ctrl Links | Create, edit, delete, and review shared control links |
| Commands → On | Enable or disable custom commands |
| Updates | Install when Bridge prompts; Bridge restarts on its own |
| Settings | Stay on top, failure notifications, window close behavior |
How to test before streaming
- Start Bridge and the local app you want to control.
- Confirm Bridge shows Connected to Pokes and the expected target is ready.
- Send one test action using Bridge or the matching Pokes page.
- Watch the target app respond, then check Bridge Recent Activity for a successful delivery.
- Repeat for each setup you rely on: OSC, toys, Lumia, and any control-link flow.
For toy-specific tests, see Test a toy. For end-to-end Pokes actions, see Test Tips.
Troubleshooting
Bridge is offline or does not connect
- Keep Bridge open on the creator PC and sign in again if requested.
- Check your internet connection, then restart Bridge.
- Make sure you installed the production app from Downloads, not a developer build.
- If it still cannot connect, reconnect the affected integration if available, then contact Pokes support with the status message (never share secrets).
A local action does not happen
- Confirm Bridge says Connected to Pokes and the local app is open on the same computer.
- Recheck the OSC host/port or the relevant toy / Lumia connection mode.
- For Lumia Developers API, confirm Bridge Bots → Lumia is connected and the website shows Connected through pokesBridge. Tip alerts through the plugin do not need Bridge.
- Send a small test action and review Bridge Recent Activity.
- For control links, confirm the link has not been deleted or revoked and test it in a separate browser session.
An update is available
Click the in-app update prompt when Bridge shows one. Bridge closes and reopens with the new build. Check your Bridge inbox for release notes on important updates. If the update does not complete, download the latest production installer from pokes.love/downloads.
