TTS Overlay

The TTS voice overlay (/overlays/tts) speaks tip messages or alert copy using browser voice or optional integrations (BYOK / Speaker.bot style providers when configured).

Setup​

  1. Open /overlays/tts.
  2. Choose voice, rate, and which events to read (tips, alerts, etc.).
  3. Add browser source URL to OBS: allow audio in OBS browser source settings.
  4. Trigger Test Tips to hear output.

Audio tips​

  • OBS browser sources need audio enabled (not muted in mixer).
  • Test headphones first: TTS can be loud on stream.
  • Skip long messages in tip rules if you only want short readouts.
  • When the voice worker is slow, TTS waits instead of double-playing the same line. Late audio may still arrive once. Timeouts fail cleanly without spamming errors in OBS.

Silent? Check OBS audio mixer for browser source. No text? Confirm tip rules include message copy.
