Creator Quick Start
This guide walks creators through the fastest path from a new account to a working test poke. Follow it step by step the first time you go live. Most issues come from skipping Lovense connection or testing too late.
Trigger a poke on Poke page after toy is connected. Confirm vibration, intensities, and tips on the tip settings page before you go live.
What you need
- A Pokes account at pokes.love.
- Lovense toys and the Lovense app or desktop Lovense Connect.
- Google Chrome or Edge for the web dashboard (and optionally the Pokes extension).
- Optional: OBS or similar software if you plan to use overlays on stream.
Steps
1. Create your creator account
- Go to pokes.love/login?mode=signup.
- Under I'm signing up as, choose Creator.
- Complete sign-up (email, Google, or other options).
If you already signed in with Lovense QR first, Pokes may send you to onboarding (/onboarding) to finish:
- Username: your login name
- Email: verify with a 6-digit code
- Public @handle + password: your profile URL (
/{handle}) and recovery login
You can poke yourself before onboarding finishes, but you need a completed profile to poke other people.
2. Connect Lovense and sync toys
- Open Toys in the sidebar (
/toys). - Pair Lovense using one of these paths:
- QR code: scan with Lovense Remote (mobile or desktop).
- Pairing code: enter the code shown in Lovense Remote if QR is awkward.
- Already linked: if you used Lovense QR to sign in, your account may already be linked; tap Sync to refresh.
- Wait until at least one toy shows online in the toy deck.
- If toys do not appear, click Sync in the Toys header (same refresh the extension uses).
See Connect Lovense and Sync Toys for screenshots and pairing troubleshooting.
3. Optional: install the Chrome extension
The Chrome extension adds a side panel for quick pokes, connections, and control links while you browse Fansly or other sites. The web dashboard is enough for first-time setup; add the extension when you want faster in-stream control (coming soon).
The extension is actively developed. If the store listing is not live yet, use the web dashboard for all steps in this guide.
Sign in with the same Pokes account you created above.
4. Check your dashboard
Open Dashboard (/dashboard). You should see:
- Toy connection status
- Poke stats (remaining today, streak, total sent)
- Active platform chooser (Fansly / Joystick / etc..) once you are on Premium and ready to stream
This is your home base before going live.
5. Add connections
Open Connections (/connections):
- Search for a user by handle or invite someone you trust (for example a mod).
- Accept incoming requests when they appear.
- Optional (Premium): import Fansly subscription tiers as roles and assign roles to connections so each tier gets its own daily poke budget.
Only connections can poke you (unless you later share a guest control link). Start with people you trust for testing.
6. Send your first test poke
- Open Pokes (
/pokes). - Under the target picker, choose 💗 Myself.
- Pick a toy, set a low intensity, and send a short vibe.
- Confirm the correct toy responds.
This uses the same path as pokes from connections. If self-poke works, your Lovense bridge is healthy.
See Test a Toy for more test patterns.
7. Set up stream tools (when you are ready)
These are creator-only and mostly Premium. Skip this block until your test poke works.
| Tool | Where | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| pokesBot | /pokesBot | Pair with Fansly chat so tips and commands trigger toy actions |
| Tip rules | /tip-rules | Tip menu and amount → toy behavior mapping |
| Test tips | /tip-settings/test-tips | Fire a fake tip through pokesBot before going live |
| Commands | /commands/custom | Custom chat triggers (for example !poke) |
| Control links | /control-links | Timed toy-control sessions for subs (create + assign) |
| Overlays | /overlays | OBS browser sources for alerts, tip menu, timer, wheel, and more |
| Wheel spin | /overlays/wheelspin | On-stream spin wheel tied to tips or commands |
pokesBot pairing (Fansly): on /pokesBot, generate a one-time code, open your pokesBot live chat on Fansly, paste the code, and confirm Connected: paired on Fansly. Then run Test Tips before your stream.

The simplest path for your audience is a free Pokes account: they sign up at pokes.love, redeem the link on Pokes, and control your toys from the same place they will use during the session. Tell subs and tippers to redeem there when you share links in chat or DMs.
Viewers who do not want an account can still redeem guest control links, but signed-in redemption is smoother for most people.
pokesBot delivers control-link DMs most reliably when viewers follow pokesBot on Fansly. Ask your audience to follow pokesBot on Fansly before you rely on auto-sent tip links or chat DMs.
If your livestream is private or gated by tips / follow only, run /mod pokesBot in your Fansly chat when you go live. That lets pokesBot see tip events in your room so tip rules, test tips, and auto control links can fire.
8. Upgrade to Premium (if you need stream tooling)
Free covers core pokes, connections, and toy sync with standard daily limits and intensity caps.
Premium (/billing, about $6.99/month) unlocks what most streamers need:
- pokesBot and tip automation
- Commands and overlays
- Control-link manager and guest links
- Higher poke limits and max intensity
- Presets and advanced patterns
See Premium and Why Is a Feature Locked? if something is missing from your sidebar.
How to test
Use this checklist before you advertise toy control:
- Toys online: at least one toy shows online on Toys (
/toys). - Self-poke: short, low-intensity poke to Myself on Pokes (
/pokes). - Connection poke: have a trusted connection send you one poke; confirm caps and cooldowns feel right.
- pokesBot: if paired, run Test Tips with a small amount (chat thank-yous are skipped in test mode).
- Overlay: if using OBS, open your overlay URL in a normal browser tab and trigger a test event before adding it as a browser source.
- Control link: create a link, open
/redeem/{token}in a private window, and confirm the session timer and controls work.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to try |
|---|---|
| Toy not responding | Lovense Troubleshooting: check Lovense Connect is running, then Sync on Toys |
| Toys show offline after pairing | Disconnect and re-pair QR/code; confirm Lovense Remote sees the toy first |
| Cannot poke other people | Finish onboarding (/onboarding): self-poke still works while incomplete |
| pokesBot / overlays / control links missing | Confirm Creator account type and Premium plan: see Why Is a Feature Locked? |
| Test Tips says connect pokesBot | Pair Fansly on /pokesBot first |
| Wrong toy vibrates | On Pokes, confirm the selected toy matches the physical device |
