How Pokes Works

Pokes connects Lovense and PiShock toys to Pokes and allow others to interact with them. Creators run streams and set rules for their toys and mini-games; viewers connect, receive pokes, and redeem control links when invited. You stay in control: you can pause, stop, disconnect, or revoke access at any time.

Pokes runs in three places that work together:

  1. pokes.love: Web dashboard for toys, connections, pokes, control links, bot settings, overlays, and safety limits.
  2. Chrome extension: Side panel for quick pokes, toy sync, connections, and control links while you browse (including Fansly). Use the web dashboard for deeper setup; the extension is the fast path during a stream or session.
  3. OBS or stream software (optional): Browser sources pointed at Pokes overlay URLs so viewers see alerts, tip menus, timers, wheel spins, and other on-stream visuals.

You do not need OBS for core toy control. Overlays are optional polish for creators who want feedback on stream.

Creator or viewer?

When you sign up at pokes.love/login, you choose an account type:

CreatorViewer
Best forStreamers and toy owners who set rules and share accessPeople who connect to creators and receive interaction
Core toolsPokes, toys, connections, control linksSame core social tools
Streaming toolsCommands, overlays, tip settings, pokesBot, PiShock rulesNot available (switch to Creator in Settings if you stream)
Control linksCreate and assign links to connections (Premium)Redeem links sent to you; Premium viewers can also create outgoing links

Account type and subscription are separate. A Premium viewer gets higher poke limits and control-link management, but not creator-only streaming pages.

You are always in control

You choose who can connect, how many pokes they get, intensity ceilings, and control-link windows. Links can be rotated or disabled instantly. Your comfort and safety come first.

How creators use Pokes

Creators connect toys, build an audience of connections, and automate interaction through pokes, control links, and platform pokesBot.

1. Connect toys

  • Open Toys (/toys) and sync Lovense via the extension (desktop Lovense Connect) or app-linked account.
  • Confirm toys show as online before going live.
  • Optional: add PiShock devices under pokesBot → PiShock (/pokesBot/pishock).

2. Build connections

  • Connections (/connections): search for users, accept requests, and assign roles.
  • Premium creators can import Fansly subscription tiers as roles so each tier gets its own daily poke budget.
  • Your public profile lives at /{your-handle} with poke stats and platform links.

3. Send and automate pokes

  • Pokes (/pokes): send real-time pokes to connections (or yourself for testing). Supports presets, patterns (Premium/VIP), and group pokes.
  • pokesBot (/pokesBot): pair with Fansly chat so tips and chat events trigger toy actions automatically.
  • Tip rules (/tip-rules): define your tip menu and what each amount does.
  • Commands (/commands/custom, /commands/auto): custom chat triggers and timed automation (Premium).
  • OSC (/osc): fire VRChat parameters on Fansly tips.
  • Discord bot (/bots/discord): link a server for status and announcements.
  • Control Links (/control-links): create timed sessions that let someone control your toys (Premium).
  • Auto-tip rules (/control-links/settings): match tip amounts and send a redeem link in DM or chat.
  • Fappy Bird (/control-links/games): optional mini-game during control-link sessions.
  • Guest links work at /redeem/{token}: recipients do not need an account; credentials stay on the server.

5. Stream with overlays (optional)

Copy an OBS browser source URL from any overlay editor. Each URL includes a private token so OBS can load without logging in.

Creator quick start

  1. Sign up as Creator and complete onboarding (/onboarding) if prompted.
  2. Sync toys on Toys and send yourself a low-intensity test poke.
  3. Add trusted users under Connections and set role poke limits.
  4. If you stream on Fansly, connect pokesBot and configure tip rules.
  5. Optional: add overlay browser sources in OBS and run Test Tips (/tip-settings/test-tips) before going live.

How viewers use Pokes

Viewers connect to creators they trust, sync their own toys when allowed, and interact through pokes and control links, not through creator-only streaming tools.

1. Connect to creators

  • Connections (/connections): send or accept connection requests.
  • Once connected, creators can poke you (if your toys are synced) and assign you control links.

2. Sync your toys

  • Toys (/toys): connect Lovense the same way creators do so you can receive pokes and patterns.
  • Toy status updates in real time when you are online.

3. Receive pokes

  • Pokes (/pokes): see incoming interaction; daily limits apply based on your plan and the creator's role settings.
  • Fansly chatroom pokes: when a creator's pokesBot is configured, chat and tips can trigger pokes without you opening the dashboard.
  • Control Links (/control-links): view links assigned to you by connections.
  • Guest redeem: open /redeem/{token} from a DM or chat message. No account required; you may be queued if the toy is busy.
  • During an active session you get a live control panel (and optional Fappy Bird). When time ends, control stops automatically.

5. Interact on stream (no account needed)

  • Live Draw: visit /{creator-handle}/draw to draw on a creator's canvas when they enable it.
  • OBS overlays: viewers see overlay output on stream; you do not configure these unless you are the streamer.

Viewer quick start

  1. Sign up as Viewer (or use a guest redeem link first, then create an account).
  2. Connect with a creator under Connections.
  3. Sync your toy on Toys if you want to receive physical pokes.
  4. Redeem any control link you were sent, or wait for pokes from connected creators.

Want to stream yourself? Open Settings (/settings) and Switch to Creator to unlock overlays, commands, and pokesBot.

Key concepts

Pokes

A poke is a short, real-time toy command sent between connected users (or to yourself). Creators set how many pokes each role gets per day and cap intensity. Premium unlocks presets, custom patterns, and higher daily limits.

Connections

A connection is a mutual link between two Pokes accounts. Only connections can poke each other (unless a public control link is used). Creators assign roles to connections to tier access.

A control link grants temporary toy control for a fixed duration.

  • Creator / Premium manager creates the link and assigns it to a connection (or shares a guest URL).
  • Owner / receiver redeems the link and gets the control session.
  • Guest links (/redeem/{token}) work without login; the server holds Lovense credentials; never exposed to the browser.

Plans

PlanTypical unlocks
FreeCore pokes, connections, toy sync; lower daily poke cap and intensity
PremiumControl-link manager, commands, overlays, pokesBot streaming tools, presets/patterns path, higher limits
VIPPattern Studio (/pattern-studio) and Unified Overlay editor (/overlays/editor)

Upgrade at Billing (/billing). Feature access is enforced on the server; the dashboard hides tools your plan does not include.

What you need

  • A Pokes account (sign up).
  • For physical interaction: a Lovense toy (and Lovense Connect or the Lovense app), or PiShock for shock integrations.
  • For streaming automation: Premium creator account and a connected Fansly (or supported platform) via pokesBot.
  • For on-stream visuals: OBS or any browser-source-capable software (optional).

How to test

Creators

  • Send yourself a short test poke from Pokes at low intensity.
  • Open an overlay URL in a browser tab and trigger Test Tips (/tip-settings/test-tips).
  • Create a control link, open it in a private window at /redeem/{token}, and confirm the session timer and controls work.

Viewers

  • Sync a toy, connect to a test creator account, and confirm you appear online to them.
  • Redeem a sample control link and verify queue behavior if the toy is already in use.
